Dear sister, dear sister, come out and play.
It's sunny and bright, such a beautiful day.
You must be tired, you've been sleeping so long.
But I have been waiting for you all along.
We'll play on the swings then lay down on our backs.
Then we can race on the big train tracks.

Dear sister, dear sister, are you still mad at me?
I wanted to race you 'cause I was happy, you see.
When you said we should go, I began to run back.
But I never knew you were stuck on the track.
I did not listen when you called for me.
I kept on running till I reached the big tree.

Dear sister, dear sister, I must go, I can't stay.
The sky like your tombestone is now turning gray.

Aww, it started out so happy.
And that was the first thing I thought when I read train tracks, "thats not safe" and then you had to make it all sad...

It is very well written!

That brings back horrible memories. In a "stay safe" video at school we watched a kid get run over by a train. It was horrible

Wow, when it got to the "you've been sleeping so long" I thought that she was dead.... sad indeed, but odd how it all ryhmes. Very well written!
